Job summary

Eversource Energy in New Hampshire seeks a lead Substation Commissioning Engineer to oversee testing and commissioning of complex transmission and distribution projects. You will develop plans, ensure safety, and coordinate with multiple engineering teams to deliver reliable, efficient operation.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) and 8–10 years in utility distribution/transmission engineering. Valid CT/MA driver’s license; willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring complex substation projects are tested and commissioned in accordance with industry and Eversource standards with a focus on safety and maintaining system reliability.
• Assist in the development of standards and procedures for the test and commissioning of substation projects.
• Supervise, administratively and/or functionally, engineers and other direct reports, as assigned.
• Responsible for root-cause analysis, development and implementation of corrective actions relating to project commissioning.
