Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead testing and commissioning of complex transmission and distribution projects. You will coordinate with System Test and Protection & Controls Engineering to ensure safety and reliability while guiding a team of engineers and staff.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and at least five years in utility distribution/transmission engineering; substation commissioning experience is preferred. Travel between MA/CT/NH may be required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively, write clearly, and use computers well.
• Minimum of five (5) years in utility distribution/transmission engineering.
• Substation testing/commissioning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complex substation projects are tested and commissioned safely and reliably.
• Develop standards and procedures for test/commissioning of substation projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure consistency and teamwork.
• Provide root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise engineers and staff; manage a preventive maintenance program.
