Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Substation Test & Commissioning Engineer to lead the development and execution of testing plans for HV/MV substations. The role prioritizes safety, reliability, and coordination with Project Management, Protection & Controls Engineering, and field teams across CT and MA.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 5 years in utility distribution/transmission engineering, with a valid CT or MA driver's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
• At least five (5) years in utility distribution/transmission engineering.
• Electrical engineering knowledge with focus on substation project testing and commissioning is preferred.
• Valid CT or MA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans and procedures for testing and commissioning of HV/MV substation projects.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Protection & Controls Engineering and Test to create project test/commissioning plans with safety focus.
• Review project test data and ensure timely acceptance.
• Provide technical guidance to Commissioning Engineers in the field.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct project audits to ensure safety and compliance.
