Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. seeks a Lead Commissioning Engineer in Biddeford, ME to lead testing and commissioning of electrical equipment in substations and generation plants.

You will direct testing of protection relays, circuit breakers and transformers, and train engineers and technicians in relay testing and commissioning. Ideal candidates have experience with GE/SEL/ABB/Schneider/SIEMENS relays, develop testing documentation, and can obtain NICET certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology) is required.
• BSEE or BSEET from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Experience with protection and control schemes and relay testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and drawings to understand substation function.
• Witness or perform critical electrical tests and energization.
• Direct crews during commissioning and startup.
• Test electrical equipment including protection and control systems.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and manage resources.
