Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks a Substation Physical Designer to develop equipment plans, elevations, conduit/trench and grounding plans. You will prepare BOMs and schedules, coordinating with civil and structural teams to ensure drawings reflect calculations and criteria provided by engineers.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in design, with AutoCAD/MicroStation expertise and 3D substation knowledge. Hybrid or onsite work options support balanced collaboration and delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years design experience or equivalent with substations.
• Certificate or Associates degree in CADD/drafting or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation required.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D/3D drawings using CAD tools for substations.
• Gather info from vendors and create general arrangement drawings.
• Prepare grounding, conduit/trench, and BOM plans with call-outs.
• Coordinate design with civil, steel structures and foundations.
