Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead Factory Built Substation assembly teams, ensuring safe, on-time production that meets quality standards. You will drive daily activities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain a focus on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, strong scheduling knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of production schedules and workflows.
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management for Assembly Technicians, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and consistent performance standards across all assembly teams.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, discipline, professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the Assembly department.
• Conduct regularly scheduled Assembly Team meetings to communicate priorities, identify and resolve operational challenges, strengthen team coordination, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support recruiting, candidate interviews, and training efforts for the Assembly department; assess staffing levels, team structure, and workforce capabilities and provide feedback to PSS Leadership based on production demands and departmental needs.
• Oversee daily Assembly operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, labor efficiency, and operational targets are consistently achieved.
• Monitor production workflow and team performance, addressing operational challenges and adjusting priorities as needed to maintain production momentum.
