DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is seeking a Welding Supervisor to lead the Welding department, ensuring safety, quality and on-time production. You will guide welders, coordinate with manufacturing teams and uphold welding standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, coaching, and maintaining alignment with production priorities, while solving issues and sustaining continuous improvement. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a welding environment.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Welding department by setting expectations, directing work and ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
• Foster safety culture and operational excellence across the Welding department.
• Conduct regular welding team meetings to review priorities and resolve issues.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training for the welding team and provide staffing feedback.
• Develop welders through coaching and adherence to procedures.
• Provide shop-floor leadership during daily production activities and maintain production flow.
• Ensure materials, equipment and drawings are ready to minimize delays.
• Identify and resolve welding-related issues and coordinate cross-functional support.
• Ensure welds meet approved procedures, drawings and workmanship standards.
• Collaborate with QA, Safety and other teams to address quality concerns and corrective actions.
