Job summary

DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead Factory Built Substation (FBS) assembly operations. You will guide Assembly Technicians, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and collaborate with the Production Manager to align priorities and resources on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, assembly operations, production leadership or industrial operations.
• Strong understanding of production schedules, manufacturing workflows and execution.
• Ability to lead teams, coach employees and support operational performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with ability to address disruptions and constraints.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management for Assembly Technicians, establishing expectations and accountability.
• Foster a safety-focused culture and drive operational excellence across the Assembly department.
• Conduct regular Assembly Team meetings to communicate priorities and resolve challenges.
• Support recruiting, interviews, and training for the Assembly department; assess staffing levels and needs.
