Service Electric Company, a Quanta Services subsidiary, seeks a Senior Substation Apparatus Technician to lead advanced field testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment. You will oversee testing, diagnose complex issues, and mentor Level 1–3 technicians in substations and power facilities.

You will travel to job sites, work outdoors in variable conditions, and ensure safety and compliance with industry standards while delivering precise field reports and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, power systems, and substation apparatus.
• 6–8 years in substation testing, maintenance, or related field.
• Ability to read schematics and one-line diagrams; interpret manuals.

Responsabilités

• Perform, lead and oversee testing, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of substation apparatus.
• Lead commissioning activities and ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
• Prepare detailed field reports and documentation.
• Maintain safety policies and promote a strong field safety culture.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers, project managers, and clients.
