Job summary

EnergyHub, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own key parts of the close process and financial reporting. You will coordinate with EnergyHub and Alarm.com to ensure accurate accounting and timely close, while upholding high standards of documentation and controls.

You will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue recognition, assist with audits, and help shape scalable processes in a fast-growing software/energy environment.

Qualifications

• Must have solid, working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in a public company environment.
• Strong communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non‑accountants.

Responsibilities

• Lead EnergyHub's month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Review contracts for ASC 606 revenue recognition with program managers.
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Assist with accounts receivable and invoicing processes.
• Partner with FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting.
• Act as liaison between EnergyHub and Alarm.com corporate accounting.
• Support SOX compliance within the public company framework.
• Explain accounting requirements clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
• Identify process gaps and implement scalable improvements.
