Job summary

EnergyHub is seeking a Senior Accountant toOwn key close processes and financial reporting while coordinating with Alarm.com. You will lead journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting under U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience with process ownership.
• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in a public company environment.
• Strong communicator able to explain complex standards to non-accountants.
• High standards for accuracy, documentation, and completeness.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process with journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports under U.S. GAAP.
• Review contracts for revenue recognition under ASC 606 with program managers.
• Support external audits and coordination with auditors.
• Assist with accounts receivable and invoicing with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with FP&A on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
• Serve as liaison between EnergyHub and Alarm.com corporate accounting.
• Support SOX compliance in a public company setting.
• Explain accounting requirements clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
• Identify process gaps and build scalable solutions.
