Placements24 is seeking a Senior Subsea Engineer to join a leading offshore energy company in Welkom, Free State. The role focuses on design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems, leveraging expertise in subsea hardware, pipelines, and structures.

You will manage complex projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with API/DNV standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering.
• 7+ years of subsea engineering experience.
• Experience with subsea hardware design, installation, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of subsea pipeline engineering, flow assurance, and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with industry standards and software for subsea design and analysis.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.

• Lead the design, engineering, and specification of subsea equipment, including Xmas trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Oversee planning and execution of subsea installation campaigns with contractors.

This position is central to the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in subsea hardware, pipelines, and structures, coupled with a strong project management capability. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and performance of our offshore assets, contributing to the successful execution of complex projects. The role blends essential on-site work with opportunities for remote engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, engineering, and specification of subsea equipment, including Xmas trees, manifolds, and control systems.
• Oversee the planning and execution of subsea installation campaigns, working closely with installation contractors.
• Develop and manage subsea pipeline and umbilical design, routing, and trenching strategies.
• Conduct structural analysis and integrity assessments for subsea components and structures.

Requirements
