Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an entry-level Electrical/Computer Engineer to develop embedded control systems for naval propulsion. You will build on foundational engineering knowledge and collaborate with Navy personnel to diagnose issues and provide emergent support.

The role emphasizes teamwork, project-based learning, and opportunities to work on systems, hardware, and software development within a mission-driven, stability-focused national asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field.
  • Masters degree in a related technical, engineering or science field preferred.
  • GPA 3.0 or above preferred.
  • Experience working in a team environment with stakeholders in a related technical discipline.
  • Academic Project, Intern or Co-Op experience in Systems, Hardware, or Software Development.

Responsibilities

  • Build on your Electrical/Computer engineering knowledge and develop Systems Engineering and troubleshooting skills.
  • Interact directly with Navy personnel to assess problems and provide emergent support.
  • Support development, testing and maintenance of embedded control systems in naval propulsion programs.
