Job summary

Chitra Productions, LLC is seeking an experienced Equipment Specialist (Submarine HM&E) to support NSLC at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of submarine HM&E systems, interpreting technical manuals, and improving PMS procedures.

The candidate should have Navy submarine experience, MMA background, and leadership exposure (LPO/LCPO/WCS). Proficiency with SKED and MS Office is required, with Secret clearance as the base level.

Qualifications

• U.S. Navy submarine experience with Submarine Warfare Qualification.
• Background in submarine HM&E source rating, preferably MMA.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting submarine auxiliary equipment and systems.
• Familiarity with Navy submarine maintenance and repair policies, procedures, and practices.
• Working knowledge of the Navy 3-M System and PMS.
• Experience with SKED maintenance management software.
• E-6 or above with Senior In-Rate Watchstander qualification.
• Experience as LPO/LCPO/WCS with 5+ years in leadership/maintenance roles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for maintenance and repair of submarine HM&E equipment and systems.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specs, and maintenance docs.
• Evaluate PMS procedures and help resolve maintenance issues.
• Apply Navy 3-M and PMS requirements.
• Support troubleshooting of submarine auxiliary equipment.
• Coordinate with Navy Fleet, repair facilities, and engineers.
• Research technical issues and recommend maintenance improvements.
• Utilize SKED, MS Office and digital tools for maintenance tasks.
