Job summary

Serco Inc. in Washington, D.C. seeks a Submarine Electrical Engineer to provide senior-level technical expertise for U.S. Navy submarine systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance guidance.

The role supports the Electrical Systems Branch within the In-Service Submarine Systems Engineering Division, focusing on engineering strategy, documentation, and cross-team collaboration to sustain submarine performance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of DoD/Armed Services or similar experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in team environments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review operational and technical docs (PMP, PMS procedures, System Health reports).
• Review engineering drawings and provide recommendations.
• Develop briefs for decision makers with accurate, timely information.
• Coordinate with Program Offices, PMTs, and suppliers on maintenance and technical issues.
• Prepare briefs for audiences up to Flag level.
• Oversee CBM and RCM engineering practices and troubleshoot technical problems.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with additional experience (in lieu of Bachelor's)
