Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Submarine Electrical Engineer to join a senior technical team in Washington, DC. You will provide expert guidance on submarine electrical systems, perform maintenance planning, and resolve fleet issues while aligning with DoD standards.

The role requires DoD clearance, a technical degree in electrical engineering, and the ability to travel up to 10%. You will collaborate with government and industry partners to sustain in-service submarine platforms.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain interim clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years DoD/Armed Services or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in team settings and independently under deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review operational/technical documents such as PMP, PMS, and DFS.
• Review engineering drawings on-site and provide recommendations.
• Develop input for briefs to decision makers.
• Coordinate with IPTs and program offices on maintenance of ship systems.
• Provide engineering oversight for CBM and RCM practices.
• Ensure proper systems engineering processes across lifecycle sustainment.
• Stay current with engineering advances relevant to submarine systems.
