Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Groton-based Quality Assurance Representative on an alternate shift (Thursday-Sunday, 4 ten-hour days) with weekend work required. You will support SEP determination and certification, and assist in ensuring products meet SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW-SCS requirements across Groton and off-site facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years in a Quality Analyst role or QA at Electric Boat, or 5+ years with Special Emphasis paperwork in trades.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PPT).
• Working knowledge of SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW SCS certification requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Willingness to work an alternate schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review and certify reentry control and initial installation records for SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, LEVEL 1, and FBW/SCS material to support ship key events and delivery.
• Provide SEP technical support and problem resolution.
• Interface with test, inspection, Design and Construction Engineering, NAVSEA, and QA counterparts.
• Read and interpret company policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external investigations into Quality matters.
• Assist in review, modification, and implementation of Quality procedures.
• Perform quality-related drawing and specification reviews.
• Provide support for NAVSEA audits (Phase 1, Phase II, Functional, NAVSEA 08).
