Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Senior Ship Certification Analyst for an alternate 1st shift schedule. The role focuses on SEP determination, certification, and quality assurance across SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW/SCS programs.

You will review records, provide technical support, and interact with NAVSEA, design, and QA teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery of critical ship components. A DoD Secret clearance is required; weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW SCS certification requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Willingness to work alternate schedule including weekends.
• Ability to read and interpret company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Review & certify reentry control & initial installation records for SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, LEVEL 1 and FBW/SCS material.
• Provide SEP technical support & problem resolution.
• Interface with test, inspection, design/construction engineering, NAVSEA, and QA counterparts.
• Read and apply company policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external investigations into quality matters.
• Assist in review, modification, and implementation of quality procedures.
• Perform quality-related drawing and specification reviews.
• Support NAVSEA audits (Phase 1, Phase II, Functional, NAVSEA 08).
