Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative for an alternate shift (Thu-Sun, 4x10s). This role supports SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW-SCS programs across Groton and off-site facilities, ensuring compliance with quality requirements and Navy standards.

You will engage with internal/external customers, review records, and provide SEP technical support to help protect sailors and delivery milestones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a QA role or 5+ years QA at Electric Boat.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Willingness to work an alternate schedule including weekends.
• Experience with SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW SCS certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review & certify reentry control & initial installation records for SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, LEVEL 1 and FBW/SCS material to support ship key events & delivery.
• Provide SEP technical support & problem resolution.
• Interface with test, inspection, and trade personnel, Design and Construction Engineering, HII-NNS Quality counterparts, NAVSEA and Supervisor of Shipbuilding personnel.
• Read, interpret, and apply company policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal & external investigations into Quality matters.
• Assist in review, modification, and implementation of Quality procedures.
• Perform Quality related drawing and specification reviews.
• Provide support for NAVSEA audits (e.g. Phase 1, Phase II, Functional, and NAVSEA 08)
