Job summary

The Black & Veatch Construction team is looking for a Subcontracts professional to support proposal and project requirements within the Subcontracts Group. This role may handle development and administration of subcontracts and oversee related processes.

You will work on budgetary pricing, bidding, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with prequalification requirements. Strong analytical and communication skills, plus knowledge of construction terms, are essential.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment onboarding checks may be required.
• High school diploma preferred; BA/BS in related field preferred.
• Four years of relevant industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicit budgetary pricing for subcontracts to support estimating/proposal efforts.
• Prepare subcontract documents and bidders lists.
• Prepare, issue and manage bidding process.
• Lead bid evaluation and negotiate terms.
• Manage award and conforming process.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with prequalification requirements.
• Draft and issue meeting minutes; draft formal correspondence.
• Process invoices; closeout subcontracts.
• Resolve backcharges and assist with disputes.
