Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Procurement Representative to provide advanced procurement support for project teams across multiple initiatives. The role emphasizes transactional leadership, bidding, and collaboration with engineering and construction to ensure compliant, timely purchases.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience, strong communication and contract understanding, and the ability to train others while maintaining accuracy in complex procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., background check, drug screen, MVR) as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Prepares contract documents and bidders list.
• Prepares, issues and manages the bidding process.
• Leads and manages the evaluation process through quotations and bid tabulation, coordinating with engineering and construction for technical evaluations.
• Makes recommendations for selected bidder(s) and award.
• Leads, schedules, coordinates and manages the negotiation process.
• Resolves complex commercial terms and conditions exceptions.
• Manages the award and conforming process.
• Resolves mildly complex vendor claim or dispute events.
• May lead budgeting for equipment or labor to support estimating for projects.
• Proficient with vendor databases; trains others with minimal supervision.
