Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Subcontracts to lead a team responsible for subcontract execution across space programs.

The role focuses on sourcing, negotiations, awards, administration, change management, and supplier performance while ensuring policy and contractual compliance. You will partner with Program Management, Procurement, Engineering, Legal, and external suppliers to mitigate risk and align execution with program milestones and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant subcontract management or contracts experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFARS and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading subcontract management, procurement, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract personnel across programs and allocate resources.
• Coach and develop subcontract professionals through performance management.
• Oversee solicitations, evaluations, negotiations, awards, and closeout.
• Develop subcontracting approaches for high-value requirements.
• Apply subcontract governance and DOPA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and flowdowns.
• Monitor costs, schedule, and supplier performance; drive corrective actions.
• Align subcontract execution with milestones and customer commitments.
• Resolve complex supplier issues and manage contractual changes.
• Maintain subcontract metrics and escalation processes.
• Analyze workflows to identify recurring issues and improvements.
• Improve subcontract workflows and supplier coordination.
