Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Subcontracts Manager to manage pre-award and post-award subcontracting for prime contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure FAR/DFARS compliance.

You will lead a team of subcontract specialists, draft awards, and support the Procurement Manager in day-to-day operations, with office-based work and opportunities to influence supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of specialized purchasing experience.
• Four years of specialized subcontracting experience focusing on Federal/Gov’t contracts.
• Proficient knowledge with the FAR, DFARS and other supplemental acquisition regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office Products including Excel and Word at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Performs, reviews and manages all aspects of subcontracting processes for prime contracts.
• Supervises and trains subcontracting team to ensure compliance with APPM.
• Review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy; resolve discrepancies and errors.
• Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services via approved requests.
• Draft, issue, and maintain subcontracts within the procurement system.
• Track, manage, and expedite subcontracts to ensure timely delivery.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, contracts and contracting, purchasing, economics, supply chain management, or related field

Five years of specialized purchasing experience
