Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Subcontract Program Manager (SPM) for SBI. You will oversee supplier cost, schedule and performance on complex, mixed-type subcontracts supporting development, production and sustainment of a space-based interceptor system.

You will report to the SBI SPM Sr. Mgr within the Strategic & Missile Defense (SMD) mission area and drive procurement strategy with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education.
• 10+ years overall experience with at least 3 years in subcontract management.
• 2+ years managing large subcontractors.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain US SECRET clearance and pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier cost, schedule and technical performance on medium-to-high risk subcontracts.
• Lead multifunctional subcontract management teams and sign supplier agreements within authority.
• Develop subcontract specs, statements of work, and terms for procurement of materials and services.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate proposals, negotiate provisions and awards, administer subcontracts and change activity.
