Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Flight Operations Standards & Evaluations Manager in Huntsville, AL. You will build and maintain sUAS operational standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and mission readiness across flight and ground operations.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to reflect current capabilities and regulatory requirements. A Secret clearance and FAA Part 107 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience developing compliance documentation, operations manuals, and internal training programs.
• Proven ability to deliver customer-facing presentations and technical updates to stakeholders.
• Significant experience with DoD customers and understanding of operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain operational standards for sUAS flight and ground operations.
• Ensure alignment with FAA and DoD regulations (Part 107, BVLOS, waivers) and company policies.
• Monitor compliance with FAA/DoD regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain operations manuals, training materials, and evaluation docs to reflect changes.
• Incorporate risk management, emergency procedures, and data collection into curricula.
• Oversee certification and currency programs for pilots, instructors, and ground crew.
• Conduct flight evaluations and performance assessments for readiness.
• Provide operator feedback to engineering for system improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate new technologies into operations.
• Travel as required.
