Job summary

Kokosing Construction seeks a Structures Foreman to lead crews on heavy highway projects in the Northern VA/DC/MD area. The role oversees construction, reviews plans, and directs crew in building bridges and road structures per contract drawings and specs.

The position requires five years of related experience, strong leadership, and the ability to plan two-week work sequences with project leadership. OSHA competency and safety enforcement are essential components.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Experience with structures for bridge and roadway work.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers on road and bridge structures.
• Directs and trains crew in accordance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Plans sequence of activities in two-week schedules with Superintendent and Project Engineer.
• Conducts daily safety huddles and enforces safety regulations.
• Maintains time and production records and tracks material requisitions.
