Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Structures Engineer to join our regional multidisciplinary engineering firm. You will design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects, and prepare designs, calculations, costs, and specs for complex structures.

As a PE‑eligible professional, you will use Enercalc, L‑Pile, STAAD and Bentley software, collaborate with teams, and contribute to client relationships while supporting regional growth in transportation and structural engineering.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7 to 10 years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year.
• Willingness to work locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects.
• Prepare designs, structural calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to deliver PS&Es on time and within budget.
• Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L‑Pile, STAAD and Bentley software.
• Design and analyze foundations, abutments, vaults, tanks, and related structures.
• Lead structures on smaller projects, coordinating staff and design efforts.
• Establish and maintain client relationships and objectives.
