Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Structures Engineer to join our progressive, employee-focused regional engineering firm. You will design and prepare construction documents for complex structures in heavy civil projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver PS&E on time and within budget.

You will perform structural analysis with Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD, and Bentley software, and support client relationships while leading small projects. This role offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 7 to 10 years of design experience.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within one year.
• Willingness to travel locally or with other offices.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams preferred.
• Design-Build or Alternative Delivery experience a plus.
• Established relationships with local DOTs a plus.
• Strong understanding of vertical structures and construction types.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects.
• Prepare designs, structural calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within budget.
• Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and Bentley software.
• Design and analyze foundations, abutments, vaults, tanks, and booster stations.
• Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead structures efforts for smaller projects and coordinate staff.
