Job summary
Horrocks is seeking a Structures Engineer to join our progressive, employee-focused firm. You will design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects and prepare designs and calculations for PS&E documents.
The role requires 7–10 years of design experience, a Civil Engineering degree, PE or eligibility, and willingness to travel locally. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a strong regional presence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- 7–10 years of design experience.
- PE license or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Willingness to travel to local sites.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects
- Prepare designs, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications
- Deliver PS&E documents within budget with a multidisciplinary team
- Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD
- Design concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, booster stations
- Analyze foundations, abutments, and specialty components
- Design retaining walls for road and site projects
- Build client relationships and ensure satisfaction
- Expand regional presence in transportation and structural engineering
- Lead structures on smaller projects, coordinating staff
