Job summary

Diaconia LLC is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for military aircraft structural systems, subsystems, components, and equipment, ensuring airworthiness and structural integrity. Responsibilities include applying MIL-HDBK-516C criteria, supporting MECSIP, CSI, and airworthiness certification, translating requirements into system specifications, and delivering ORD, SEPs, and TEMPs for programs.

The role requires an active Secret DoD clearance, U.S.

Qualifications

• Active Secret DoD clearance required or ability to obtain clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required for U.S. Government entity.
• Bachelor-level or higher engineering degree from ABET-accredited program; multiple paths accepted as described in the job posting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Expert in the technical/professional field with broad application of standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support junior staff in structures engineering.
• Uphold MIL‑STD‑882 safety and airworthiness standards.
• Support System Integrity Programs (MECSIP) and CSI lists.
• Translate user requirements into weapon system requirements and designs.
• Produce and review ORD, SEPs, and TEMPs for programs.
• Conduct system safety evaluations and risk assessments.
• Participate in design reviews and action plans to improve systems and processes.
• Support LCSE implementation to ensure safety and suitability.
