Job summary

Diaconia seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for aircraft structural systems, subsystems, components, and equipment. The role emphasizes airworthiness and integrity for military aircraft across development, procurement, sustainment, and modification efforts.

The candidate will apply expert knowledge to oversee junior staff, ensure MIL-HDBK-516C compliance, and contribute to safety program activities, documentation, and design reviews in a demanding defense

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with engineering analysis tools and software.
In-depth understanding of airworthiness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced engineering support for aircraft structural systems and components.
Ensure compliance with DoD, AF, MIL-HDBK-516C for airworthiness.
Support System Integrity Programs and airworthiness certification activities.
Translate user needs into weapon system requirements and tests.
Prepare and review ORD, SEPs, TEMPs and other technical documents.
Conduct system safety evaluations and risk assessments.
Collaborate in project teams, reviews, and technical discussions.
Contribute to lifecycle engineering and AF/DoD compliance initiatives.
Apply best practices through AFOSO21 and value stream improvements.
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge and mentor junior staff.
