Job summary

Delta Capita in New York is seeking a senior attorney to join the Structured Products team. You will draft and review legal documentation for structured product transactions, including complex payoffs, and manage a high-volume pipeline to tight deadlines.

You will provide legal judgment on templates, liaise with internal and external counsel, mentor junior staff, drive process improvements and champion document automation, while building strong relationships with Operations, Structuring, Legal

Qualifications

• J.D. and bar admission (New York preferred).
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience drafting issuance docs for securities, structured products, or complex derivatives.
• Ability to work independently with strong legal judgment and manage a high-volume pipeline.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflows to meet deadlines; adapt to changing environments.
• Strong work ethic and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Draft and review legal documentation for structured product transactions, including complex or novel payoffs.
• Own and manage a pipeline queue of transactions to strict deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Provide legal judgment on documentation templates for new or adapted payoffs; liaise with internal and external counsel.
• Act as a key escalation point for complex legal or documentation issues.
• Mentor and guide paralegals and junior team members.
• Drive process improvements and lead adoption of technology for document automation.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal and Trading.

Education

J.D. and active bar admission (New York bar preferred)
