Job summary

Delta Capita in New York is seeking a senior attorney to join the Structured Products team. You will draft and review legal documentation for structured product transactions, including complex payoffs, and manage a high-volume pipeline to tight deadlines.

You will provide legal judgment on templates, liaise with internal and external counsel, mentor junior staff, drive process improvements and champion document automation, while building strong relationships with Operations, Structuring, Legal

Qualifications

• J.D. and bar admission (New York preferred).
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience drafting issuance docs for securities, structured products, or complex derivatives.
• Ability to work independently with strong legal judgment and manage a high-volume pipeline.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize workflows to meet deadlines; adapt to changing environments.
• Strong work ethic and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvements and lead adoption of technology for document automation.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal and Trading.

Location: New York

We are looking for a qualified attorney to join our Structured Products team in New York in a senior legal documentation drafting role. Our team provides legal documentation drafting and issuance support to cross-asset structured products businesses at a range of Tier 1 Investment Banks.

We help our clients reduce costs and improve processes by moving them away from their existing proprietary models towards mutualized managed services, enabling a healthier and more performant business.

Our services cover all aspects of structured product issuance, with a core focus on Legal Documentation, Transaction Management, and Product Governance services. Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review legal documentation (Pricing Supplements including preliminary and final, and ancillary documentation) for structured product transactions, including complex or novel payoffs.

• Own and manage a pipeline queue of transactions to strict deadlines, with minimal oversight.

• Provide legal advice and judgment on documentation and templates for new or adapted payoffs, liaising directly with internal legal departments and external counsel as needed.

• Act as a key point of escalation for complex legal or documentation issues.

• Mentor and provide guidance to paralegals and junior members of the documentation team.

• Drive process improvements and lead adoption of technology for document automation.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts in Operations, Structuring, Legal and Trading

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• J.D. and active bar admission (New York bar preferred) required.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience within the financial services industry drafting issuance documentation for securities or structured products, or complex/non-standard derivatives.
• Deep experience working on structured products and/or derivative transactions, including exposure to complex or bespoke payoffs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise legal judgment, and take ownership of a high-volume transaction pipeline.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in written form.
• Ability to prioritize workflows in order to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality work.
• Strong work ethic proven by previous working experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).

Salary Range:

$175,000 - $225,000
