Science and Technology Corporation (STC) seeks an experienced Structural Welder/Fabricator to support NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The role combines shop fabrication and field installation, focusing on structural welding, fabrication, and rigging to turn engineered concepts into finished assemblies.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in welding and fabrication, with strong MIG/FCAW skills and the ability to read drawings, plan fabrication, and work safely in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• 7+ years of welding, fabrication, and related experience.
• Strong proficiency with MIG/FCAW welding of carbon steel.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, assemble, and install structural and mechanical hardware per drawings.
• Perform MIG and flux-cored welding with high quality.
• Layout and fabricate structural steel components and frames.
• Interpret drawings, plan fabrication sequences, and ensure fit-up accuracy.
• Perform rigging and field installation activities with safety focus.
