Job summary

Impact Recruitment partners with a multi-disciplinary civil engineering consultant delivering municipal, private development, transportation, and water resources projects. This senior role is open to licensed candidates in South Carolina and Georgia, with an option to work remotely.

You will lead a design team, oversee proposals, staffing, budgets, and client relations, and guide project execution from scope through closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural engineering design consulting experience.
• Strong supervisory, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Technical Advisor and Subject Matter Expert.
• Identify new markets and clients to bring in new projects, maintaining positive relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare proposals and qualification statements, including estimates and presentations.
• Prepare project schedules, scopes, and budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets and prepare Project Planning Worksheets.
• Determine project team makeup and assign workloads.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings to communicate and obtain agreement on project schedules.
• Monitor and follow up on client invoicing and payments.
• Oversee the design phase, including design reviews and quality control.
• Manage bidding and responses to contractor questions.
• Manage construction phase according to contract requirements.
• Respond to information requests promptly and maintain effective communication.
