Qualifications

• 3-5 years of structural steel layout and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and quality requirements.
• Welding certification in D1.1 and/or D1.5 preferred.
• Senior-level structural steel fitter/fabricator experience with quality inspection knowledge may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel fabrication throughout the production process.
• Compare fabricated materials with shop drawings, specifications, and required standards.
• Perform in-process and final inspections, including dimensional layout and part placement.
• Identify, document, and follow up on nonconforming work in accordance with D1.1/D1.5.
• Work with fabrication and production teams to investigate and correct quality concerns.
• Support ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Assist with preparation for and participation in annual AISC QC audits.
