Job summary

Tiello LLC in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement across multiple structural steel fabrication facilities and project sites. You will source materials, negotiate vendor terms, manage purchase orders, and drive cost control while building scalable purchasing processes.

Collaborate with fabrication, construction, estimating, and accounting teams; travel to nearby facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in structural steel fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience purchasing structural steel, fabrication materials, welding consumables, or industrial construction supplies is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement across multiple facilities, field operations, and corporate departments.
• Procure structural steel, plate, raw materials, welding consumables, tooling, and shop equipment.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with shop leadership to maintain production timelines.
• Source and purchase rigging equipment, hauling supplies, and construction materials for field operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with steel suppliers, vendors, and carriers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and performance.
• Establish preferred vendors and secondary suppliers to minimize shortages.
• Manage purchase requisitions, orders, approvals, and documentation.
• Track purchasing costs against project budgets with Accounting and Project Management.
• Coordinate invoice matching and resolve vendor discrepancies.
