Job summary

Tiello is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager in Philadelphia, PA, to lead procurement across structural steel fabrication facilities, field operations, and corporate teams. You will source materials, negotiate vendor agreements, manage POs, and drive cost control while aligning procurement with project timelines and quality standards.

You will work closely with Fabrication, Construction Operations, Estimating, Project Management, and Accounting teams, reporting to the Controller, with on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 5+ years purchasing experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and cost control.
• Experience coordinating purchasing across multiple facilities or projects.
• Familiarity with AISC/AWS standards and material certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement across multiple facilities, field operations, and corporate teams.
• Source structural steel, plate, welding consumables, and shop equipment.
• Coordinate material delivery schedules to maintain production timelines.
• Negotiate vendor pricing and terms to optimize costs.
• Develop standardized purchasing procedures and vendor management processes.
• Monitor pricing, lead times, and market trends to support planning.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and quality standards.
