Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel estimating or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Tekla EPM is a must.
• Strong understanding of AISC standards and guidelines.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define scope.
• Use Tekla EPM to manage project information and documentation.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify and mitigate challenges.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technology.
