LVI Associates in Houston or Austin seeks a licensed structural engineer for a full-time, hybrid Texas role. You will lead building projects from planning through construction, while staying hands-on with analysis, design decisions, document review, and field problem-solving.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of building experience, and the ability to manage projects with clients and multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative consulting environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Active Professional Engineer license in the US.
• Approximately 10+ years of building structural engineering experience.
• Experience delivering projects through design, documentation, and construction.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Familiarity with current US building codes and structural design standards.
• Experience with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000).
• Ability to review and coordinate multidisciplinary construction documents.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment.

Aufgaben

• Lead structural projects from initial planning through design and construction.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage project scope, schedules, fees, resources, and deliverables.
• Perform and review structural analysis and design.
• Guide preparation of construction documents.
• Review calculations, drawings, details, and specs.
• Provide direction to developing engineers and staff.
• Identify risks before they affect delivery.
• Support construction-phase services and address field questions.
• Review contractor submissions and resolve design issues.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to quality-control reviews and internal standards.
