Job summary

VAA, an engineering, planning and design firm, is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer in a hybrid role to design and analyze structures across commercial, municipal and industrial projects.

You will lead technical teams, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You must hold a PE license with 8+ years of experience and be ready to travel up to 10% to field sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in design, analysis, and project leadership across buildings, infrastructure and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering services rooted in fundamentals, codes, and standards.
• Lead and mentor engineers and staff to achieve technical excellence.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
• Serve as primary technical client contact on projects.
• Perform site visits and confirm field conditions.
• Prepare, review, and execute proposals.
• Participate in marketing efforts to develop targeted clients.
