Job summary

Martin/Martin, Inc. seeks an experienced structural engineer to join our Albuquerque, NM office. You will design and manage structural projects across the U.S., including DOE/DOD labs and campuses, with opportunities to lead investigations and retrofits.

You will work in a growing team requiring strong communication, time-management, and leadership as you mentor staff and foster client relationships across diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• 9 years progressive engineering experience.
• Master's degree in civil or architectural engineering counts as 1 year.
• Completion of the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam counts as 1 year.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work in the Albuquerque area; relocation reimbursement may be provided.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities beneficial to the company’s future.

Responsibilities

• Manages engineering and technician staff to complete projects.
• Coordinates structural design scope in-house and with other consultants.
• Develops, monitors, and manages project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
• Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors for their projects throughout design and construction.
• Develops and implements project specific QA/QC plans.
• Acts as a mentor and resource for less-experienced staff and assists with career development.
• Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
• Takes an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships.
