AE2S in Minnesota is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Woodbury or Maple Grove office as a Project Engineer specializing in structures for commercial and industrial buildings. You will work closely with staff, managers, and clients to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

The role involves design of diverse structural systems, leading project tasks, maintaining client relations, and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in home state or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with structural analysis programs.
• Willingness to travel for project/client responsibilities.
• Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and teams.
• Knowledge of regional design standards and geologic considerations.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional services across design development, final design, construction administration, and forensic engineering.
• Design structural systems for wood, masonry, steel, joists, concrete and light-gauge steel.
• Design foundations for diverse soils including collapsible soils and expansive soils.
• Design water/wastewater treatment facility structures.
• Lead tasks on large projects and manage smaller ones.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Assist the Structural Division Manager in pursuing opportunities.
• Provide QA/QC on all project work.
• Maintain budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
