Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer in California to independently handle small and medium projects and lead teams on larger efforts. You will evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems, while coordinating with architects and other engineers.

The role requires strong knowledge of structural design codes, seismic design, and construction means and methods, with hands-on Proficiency in Revit and CSI/RISA/RAM software. Opportunities for growth and impactful design await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering license is preferred.
• PE license is required; Structural Engineering license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects.
• Development of job specific specifications independently for less complex projects.
• Lead junior engineers in complex projects.
• Coordinate with architectural interiors and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating change orders.
• Use company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software for calculations.
