Job summary

Bennett & Pless Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Dallas team.

The engineer will manage the full project cycle from design through completion, preparing analyses and drawings for supervisor review, and coordinating BIM/AutoCAD efforts across disciplines. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, contractors, and internal teams to meet client expectations, while developing cost-effective design solutions for a variety of facilities and materials.

Qualifications

• PE or SE license required.
• 7-15 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with industry standard software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, Tekla).
• Structural design across steel, concrete, masonry for low-mid rise projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and lead meetings with architects, contractors, and design teams.
• Prepare and review engineering analyses, design calculations, and construction documents.
• Oversee drafting and review of BIM and AutoCAD plans to ensure design accuracy.
• Coordinate information across disciplines and external teams to meet client expectations and quality standards.
• Develop cost-effective and innovative design solutions and participate in proposals and RFIs.
