Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to oversee all engineering aspects of structural projects from concept to completion. The role focuses on detailed engineering, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure quality, code compliance, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has about ten years of structural engineering experience, EIT/PE plans, and proficiency with AutoCAD, RISA 3D, and STAAD.

Qualifications

BS in civil or structural engineering required.
Approximately ten years of professional structural engineering experience.
EIT certification with plan to obtain PE licensure within six months.
PE exam completed or plan to pursue licensure in multiple states.
Proficiency with structural analysis software including RISA 3D and STAAD.
Proficiency with AutoCAD for structural drawings and details.
Strong structural analysis skills and applying engineering principles to complex systems.
Experience in a consulting environment with client interaction.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and manage all structural engineering activities from conception to completion.
Lead detailed structural design efforts ensuring code compliance and alignment with project requirements.
Develop structural deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare preliminary designs to support planning, feasibility, and client decisions.
Develop presentation materials to communicate design concepts to teams and clients.
Support permitting by preparing and reviewing structural documentation.
Execute final designs with detailed analysis and coordination with other disciplines.
Produce quantities for cost estimating and procurement.
