Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structures Project Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services Group in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA. You will oversee structural design for diverse markets, collaborating with a multidiscipline team across planning, design development, and construction documentation.

Preferred qualifications include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a PE license, and 5+ years in structural engineering within an engineering firm. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license and 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Preferred degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications and perform sizing calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development to contract documents.
• Lead meetings and reviews with regulatory agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct design development and document sessions at project sites with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to meet project schedules and incorporate changes.
• Assist with addenda, RFIs, change proposals, and change orders as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
