Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to join the Building Engineering Services Group in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA. You will lead the structural design of diverse facilities, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and supervise engineers and modelers to deliver high-quality constructions.

You will work under the NorCal leads, managing project staffing, scheduling, and client interactions, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accurate documentation across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• At least 10 years of design experience in civil/site projects.
• Professional engineer license (PE or P.Eng) required.
• Experience with multi-discipline teams and project management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and detailing for building projects.
• Coordinate with multidiscipline design teams through all project phases.
• Supervise EITs, junior engineers, designers and modelers.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and ensure on-time delivery.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical guidance during construction.
