Job summary

Boeing Defense Space and Security in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking a Senior Structural and Payload Design Engineer to join the Direct Attack team. You will design, analyze, and document structural and interior payload systems using NX and other tools, working with suppliers and cross-functional teams across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and typically 9+ years of related experience, with an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain structural and interior payload system designs using 3-D CAD tools.
• Understand GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5M).
• Validate and verify systems meet requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and meet goals.
• Develop new design and analysis processes to improve efficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies for future designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces and produce engineering definitions.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, integration, and test.
• Develop equipment and tooling concepts for production systems.
• Investigate emerging technologies for vehicle designs and testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, reliability, ergonomic and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate vehicle tooling and workflows to enhance productivity during integration.
