Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Strength Manager to lead structural integrity efforts across airframe programs. You will plan, manage and technically perform work in fatigue, damage tolerance and material allowables, guiding project teams and MRB actions.

The role requires advanced engineering degrees and 9+ years in aerospace, with the ability to coordinate complex tests and ensure regulatory compliance across DoD and civil standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD in engineering or related field; 9+ years of progressively complex engineering experience.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of engineering principles, project management and leadership including planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads.
  • Must possess the ability to resolve management and technical problems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to interface with all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from inception through completion while meeting quality, schedule and financial objectives.
  • Develop and apply metallic and composite structural analysis techniques and fatigue/damage tolerance.
  • Coordinate MRB actions and reviews, manage resources and budget, and interact with customers and management.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD/industry standards and safeguard proprietary information.
